The Special Guests cover Big, Bold, songs from the last four decades. Fan favorites include mega hits from Led Zeppelin, Rush, Joan Jett, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Metallica, Scorpions, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Gwen Stefani. TSG formed in the summer of 2013 with the brother and sister duo of Cole Parker on lead guitar and Paige Parker on keys, who both share the lead vocals. Drumming for the band is Ben Ward, a precision specialist. AJ Morgan rounds out the group with some serious grooves on the bass guitar. The band is passionate about performing live! They have played many of the best venues and festivals for live music in San Diego such as Music Box, The San Diego County Fair, San Diego's Rock N Roll Marathon, D Street, Tower 13, Fiesta del Sol, House of Blues, Fast Times, and The Hard Rock Cafe. TSG have been finalists in competitions from their inception with original music such as the highly contagious "Summertime" and "Coming Back For More" both of which have played over San Diego radio stations 91x and 94.9. Eight years strong, with more original music to their name, they continue to perform at private functions and special events with an excitement and passion you don't want to miss.
Cole Parker (Lead Vocals & Lead Guitar)
Cole Parker is a Business Major at Texas Christian University with a passion for sports, music, BBQ, and radio commentating. He has studied singing, acting, and various instruments around San Diego before stepping out as lead singer and guitarist for The Special Guests. Currently at TCU, Cole enjoys performing with his fraternity band of brothers, giving guitar lessons, and being a Frog Camp Director. One of his favorite moments is meeting one of his inspirations, Dave Grohl, at a Foo Fighters concert in San Diego and giving him an autographed TSG flyer.
Paige Parker (Lead Vocals & Keyboard)
Paige will be attending college next semester. She currently studies music at The Rockademy in Solana Beach. She enjoys making music with other bands in addition to TSG, teaching music camps, going to rock concerts & San Diego beaches. She loves to entertain and gets fired up to sing powerful Female rock Anthems. Fun Fact: Her favorite song to perform live is Guns & Roses "Paradise City"
A.J. Morgan (Bass Guitar & Back up Vocals)
AJ Morgan is a native San Diegan and is TSG's bass guitarist for 8 years and counting. AJ's musical talents extend beyond the strings as he is the drummer for Uncommonwealth, an alternative rock band in Boston. Currently, AJ is a Computer Science Major at Boston College Class of 2024. His favorite memory is playing at the 24th mile for the San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon.
Ben Ward (Drums)
Ben Ward is a fan of 90's-00's hard rock, alternative, and grunge music that comes from the strong influence of bands like Tool, Foo Fighters, Sound Garden, etc. Ben is a true technician when it comes to hitting the skins, tirelessly practicing his craft. When he is not drumming, Ben studies Accounting at SDSU. Another Fun Fact: Ben was a senior Drum Major for Scripps Ranch High School marching band and played the Quads.
